“Is there anything I can do to help?”…
A few years back, colleague Teeka Tiwari and I were strolling through downtown Berlin.
I was living in the German capital at the time. We’d just been to a cryptocurrency conference there. And I was showing him around the city.
We were walking talking crypto when we saw a woman sobbing uncontrollably into a sodden tissue ahead of us.
I’m quite introverted. My instinct is to avoid dealing with painful emotions… especially when it’s a stranger who’s breaking down. Had I been walking alone, I probably would have crossed the street to give her some space.

He doesn’t speak German. The woman didn’t speak English.
